Changes in the tour of Orchestra Mozart



Claudio Abbado has cancelled another tour of concerts. He simply has to rest. We at classicalify wish him all the best. But there are still concerts ahead for Claudio in Vienna. On december 4th and 5th he will conduct Schumanns symphony nr 3 and Beethovens piano concerto nr 5 with Maurizio Pollini as soloist.
The tour of Orchestra Mozart how ever will continue with Bernhard Haitink and Maria Joao Pires as soloist.
Dates unchanged for the tour of Amsterdam, London and Brussel.

Opera and Concert news.

After a stressful summer we at Classicalify will certainly try to be more active and give you more news about exciting opera productions and concerts. Here is some news about what's happened recently:

Claudio Abbado has had to cancel a tour of Japan with the Lucerne Festival orchestra. On advice from his doctors he can not travel to far and after a busy month in Lucerne at the summer festival he is now resting at his home in Sardinia. Claudio will be in Amsterdam on the 25th conducting the orchestra mozart and with soloist Martha Argerich performing Beethoven piano concerto nr 1. The same concert will be performed in Bruxelles Palais des beux Arts on the 29th and Londons Royal Festival Hall October 1.

Opera News will honor Christa Ludwig, Juan Diego Florez and Swedish soprano Nina Stemme at the opera news awards next year in April. Juan Diego Florez can be seen at the Vienna state opera in november in La Fille de regiment. Nina Stemme will be in Stockholm on December 4th to 6th at Berwaldhallen.
